Julia Jacklin’s smooth saccharine vocals echoed through the vast Fonda Theater this past Friday night. Each passing note enthralled the crowd, who swayed and stared on as Jacklin performed fan favorites like “Love, Try Not To Let Go”, “Pressure to Party, and “I Don’t Know How to Keep Loving You.”

All the while, her opener —fellow folk artist Katy Kirby— performed her own brand of singer-songwriter folk music, winning the crowd over with her heart-wrenching Christmas song “So Much Wine, Merry Christmas” — move over Mariah Carey (just kidding!)
