I caught this hypnotizing Puma Blue show on a brisk, foggy Friday night. A warm El Rey filled with eager fans, contrasted by a cold and empty Wilshire Blvd, made the venue seductively inviting.

Opener Niecy Blues had technical difficulties at the beginning of her set but made up the lost time with a cathartic performance, catching many Puma Blue fans by surprise. After a short break between sets, Puma Blue went on stage and brought down the house with sexy saxophone solos and crunchy guitar licks.
